Pressed Steel Chain Link Gate Fork Latch
This bolt-on pressed-steel fork latch is intended for chain-link single swing and walk gates. The mounting collar attaches to the round gate-frame upright, while the fork arm closes around the adjacent stationary latch post to hold the gate shut. A built-in opening allows a padlock to be added when required.
This is the pressed-steel version of the fork latch. For heavier commercial or industrial gate applications, refer to the Wmebee malleable-iron fork latch series.

How to Select the Correct Size
- Measure the outside diameter of the gate-frame upright where the latch will be mounted.
- Measure the outside diameter of the stationary latch post that the fork will close around.
- Select the size in Gate Frame OD × Latch Post OD order.
- Check the spacing between the gate frame and latch post before ordering; the fork must close fully and align with the padlock opening.
Installation Notes
- Position the latch on the gate-frame upright and secure the bolt-on mounting collar.
- With the gate closed, align the fork arm with the stationary latch post.
- Tighten the mounting hardware and verify that the fork opens and closes without binding.
- Confirm padlock alignment and recheck fastener tightness after initial use.
