Chain Link Fence Tension Band Series
Wmebee tension bands are used with a tension bar to secure stretched chain-link fabric to terminal posts, including end, corner and gate posts. The extended band tabs capture the tension bar connection; this is the functional difference between a tension band and a shorter-tab brace band.
Each package contains 10 tension bands with matching bolts and nuts. Select the band by the actual outside diameter of the post or pipe, not by an assumed nominal pipe size.

How to Select and Plan Quantity
- Measure the outside diameter of the terminal post where the bands will be installed.
- Select the matching Post OD option; do not select by fence height or tension-bar width.
- A common planning guideline is to use one fewer tension band than the fence height in feet on each fabric-to-terminal-post connection—for example, five bands for a 6 ft fence.
- Project specifications, fence height, fabric gauge, wind exposure and local installation requirements may call for different spacing or quantities.
Installation Notes
- Install the tension bar through the last row of chain-link fabric.
- Distribute the tension bands evenly along the terminal post and align their extended tabs with the tension bar.
- Install and tighten the supplied bolts and nuts evenly after the fabric has been properly stretched and aligned.
- Do not substitute a brace band: brace bands are intended for rail ends and other fittings, while tension bands retain the tension bar and fence fabric.
