Professional Steel-to-Wood Fence Post Brackets

Designed for connecting wood fence rails to round steel fence posts with an actual outside diameter of 2-3/8 inches. These pipe grip ties combine the service life of steel posts with the flexibility and appearance of wood fence construction.

Hot-dip galvanized bracket body

Unlike many zinc-electroplated alternatives, the steel bracket body is hot-dip galvanized for durable outdoor corrosion protection. Variations in surface color, texture, zinc buildup or spangle are normal characteristics of the hot-dip galvanizing process and are not product defects.

Easier one-hand clamp tightening

The revised wraparound design keeps the bracket and horizontal clamping bolt aligned around the post, allowing the installer to hold the bracket in position and tighten the post-clamping bolt with one hand.

Important: slide-on installation only

This is a closed, slide-on bracket—not a split or side-entry clamp. It must be slipped over an accessible top or bottom end of the post and cannot be opened or clipped around the middle of an installed post. For most installations, slide the bracket down from the top before installing the post cap, wood rails or other components that may block access. If neither end of the post is accessible, this bracket is not suitable for the installation.

Measure before ordering

• Fits 2-3/8 in actual outside-diameter round steel posts
• Nominal pipe size and actual outside diameter are not the same
• Confirm that at least one end of the post will be accessible during installation
